Zostel is a chain of backpacker's hostels that provides secure and centrally located accommodation to young travellers in dormitories with laundry service, TV, internet, library, board games and other interactive facilities at a competitive price. Zostel takes up apartments on a long term lease and provides a standardized experience for customers. Developed an in-house property management system to centralize its inventory, content and other operations-related data. Available in 8 locations - Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Agra, Delhi, Varanasi, Vadodara, and Delhi as of Feb 2015. Several of its hostels are rated Top 5 in their respective locations in the "Specialty Lodging" category on TripAdvisor. Its "Best Internship" campaign in partnership with MTV received over 70,000+ applications in just over a month's time. Won in all the 14 business plan competitions it has participated. Raised INR 5 crores from Malaysia based angel investor Presha Paragash in May 2014. Launched Zostel Entrepreneurship Development Programme in March 2015 for entrepreneurs who want to start a Zostel of their own.
