TaxiForSure

TaxiForSure.com is an aggregator of car rentals and taxis in India for point-to-point pick up and drop, airport transfer, local and outstation packages. Has a web portal and mobile apps on iOS and Android for cab booking. Works with local cab operators who own cabs and employ drivers unlike Ola which works directly with drivers. Present in in 47 cities with over 15,000 vehicles registered on its platform (March 2015). Introduced Auto-rickshaw and Tata Nano-booking feature in late 2014. Acquired by Olacabs for $200M in a cash and stock deal in March 2015. It was reported that post-acquisition, Ola and TaxiForSure will continue to operate as separate entities and the founders of TaxiForSure would play an advisory role in Ola for a certain period with Arvind Singhal (currently COO) being appointed the CEO. In August 2016, Ola shut down TaxiForSure operations.
