GetActive, product of 2mpower health management services, is the developer of healthcare wearable technology devices Slim and Tapp. The company has started its R&D of devices in 2011 and finally released their products into the market in 2013. The wearable device is coupled with the smartphone application which involved a gamified customer engagement. The app interacts with the device through bluetooth and through the app, the user can get metrics of his activity, follow friends on the network and compete with them on various physical exercise activities. As of now, the device can measure things like physical activity, calories burned, number of hours slept. Physical activity history can be viewed on the phone app or the online dashboard. The company has sold 10,000 devices in the first year after release. It has received an undisclosed amount of angel funding in May 2014.
