DriveU provides professional drivers for personal cars starting at Rs 89 per hour. Claims to have background checked and verified drivers. Customers can track the driver through the app. DriveU will provide drivers with two-wheelers to reach a customer and get back after the ride. Launched its mobile app in Bengaluru with 50 drivers and is now operating in Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi as of March '16. Claims to have completed over 15,000 trips serving over 6,000 customers, 60% of whom were women. Self-funded by CEO Rahm Shastry, an early investor in TaxiForSure. Raised $1M in seed funding from Unitus Seed Fund in Feb '16. In May 2016, acquired CallAtHome for an undisclosed amount, to expand operations in Gurgaon. The drivers charge a flat rate of Rs 99/hour along with service tax. Claims that the absence of surge pricing is the hallmark of its pricing strategy. As on May 2016, claims to have served over 30,000 trips to over 10,000 customers, of which over 60 per cent are women. Acquired competitor Driverskart in May 2017.
